This provides a guarantee for the customers meaning the fish is produced in a socially and enviromentally responsible manner.
It also provides guidance of the aquaculture industry towards sustainability by standards that maintain quality of the water, prevent the spread of disease and parasites between farmed and wild fish, regulates feeding practices and fish food itself, protects sensitive areas of nature and ensures safety of the employees and their social rights.
